Audit & Assurance
Audit and Assurance services are provided to add credibility to an organization’s financial statements, and are often required by third party users and regulatory agencies.

At Kushner LaGraize, we provide audit, review, compilation, and assurance services that give investors and creditors confidence in a business’s financial health while equipping owners and management with valuable insights to make sound strategic business decisions. Our audit process goes beyond compliance—we assess internal accounting controls and operational efficiencies, providing guidance that can help businesses strengthen their financial foundation and support economic growth.
Our core assurance services include:
AUDITS
An audit offers the highest level of assurance, providing stakeholders with confidence in a company’s financial statements. Audits are often required to comply with banking covenants, help deter the occurrence of fraud and errors, and support business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. At Kushner LaGraize, L.L.C., we conduct audits across a wide range of industries and entity types including:
- Government and Single Audits
- Manufacturers
- Healthcare Entities
- Charter Schools
- Not-for-Profit Organizations
- Employee Benefit Plans
- Retail
- Professional Service Firms
REVIEWS
A review engagement is less extensive than an audit but provides more assurance than a compilation. It primarily involves analytical procedures applied to the financial statements and inquiries of management. If any inconsistencies or questionable information arise, additional procedures may be necessary. Unlike an audit, a review does not require an evaluation of internal controls, verification of data with third parties, or a physical inspection of assets.
Why choose a review engagement? A review offers a cost-effective alternative to an audit while still benefiting from a CPA’s technical expertise. It provides limited assurance, making it a good option for businesses that need more credibility than a compilation but without the full scope of an audit.
compilations
A compilation is the most basic level of financial statement service, offering no assurance or opinion. Compilations do not involve management inquiries or analytical procedures. Instead, we utilize our expertise in accounting principles and our overall understanding of your business to compile the financial statements.
Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements
For businesses with specific risks or regulatory requirements, we work with management to design and execute tailored testing procedures. These engagements focus on targeted areas of financial or operational concern and we will provide detailed reports and actionable recommendations based on our findings.
These engagements are often required by regulatory agencies or other stakeholders seeking independent verification of certain financial or operational information.
internal control studies
A strong internal control system is essential for safeguarding assets and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Leveraging our experience, we assess your company’s internal control procedures, identify weaknesses, and offer practical recommendations to strengthen your financial oversight and risk management processes.
Tax Credit Cost Certification Audits
Certain state tax credits in Louisiana require a certified audit of qualified rehabilitation expenditures. Our team has extensive experience conducting these audits in compliance with state requirements.
