In Memory – 1986 - 2021
It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our Managing Partner, Ernie Gelpi, who died March 7, 2021 after sustaining complications from surgery. The KL team lost a dear friend, inspiring mentor and visionary leader.
Ernie started his career in public accounting in 1980 after graduating from the University of New Orleans. He joined the KL team in 1986 as an Audit Manager and was appointed Audit Partner in 1988. In 2007, he accepted the role of Managing Partner and brought leadership, knowledge, dedication and love for our firm, employees and clients. Ernie’s spirit will continue to guide the KL team and his legacy will live on in our hearts and in the halls he graciously walked.
We will honor Ernie’s memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing to serve you with the same level of excellence as we did under his leadership.
